As you can see homeschooling should be made illegal because Home Schooled children miss out on too many valuable social interactions and opportunities. It is difficult to find sports teams and to interact with different ethnic groups and religions. “Teens often find limited opportunities to join sports teams, especially competitive ones.”( Shaw 1). Teens need more social activity then then Home Schooling offers. Home schooling should be made illegal because it denies the student of too many valuable opportunities. Also because it denies the child of many of the things that school kids take for granted are harder to come by for homeschoolers. They are not at all impossible, but it often takes ingenuity, resourcefulness and creativity to achieve the things that school kids do without giving it a second thought: getting a driver’s license, going on a field trip, accessing resources such as science labs and teachers, attending community college classes, sports, after school enrichment classes, etc. (http://justenough.wordpress.com/2007/02/27/real-cons-of-being-homeschooled/)
