Homeschooled children should not be allowed to play on their local school’s sports teams because it would not be fair to the students who attend the school. If a homeschooled student makes the team that takes one spot off the team; one spot that a kid who goes to that school probobly wants. If a home schooled child makes the last spot on the baseball team, it isn't fair. Why should they get to join the team without the academics that come with school? Since parents are in comtrol, they can just re arrange their schedule, and don't even need to do work if they have an extened practice and a game. For example, if a student attending the school is on the school basketball team and he is doing poorly academically he will be suspended until he gets his grades up. If a homeschooled child is getting bad grades then he will probably get away with it because Mommy won't want to pull their kid off of the team. Another example is that if a boy who attends the school misbehaves he will probably get kicked off the team and get detention or suspension; if a homeschooled child misbehaves, he would probably be grounded but not kicked off the team. Conclusion
As you can see, home schooling should remain legal in the USA. The parents know what's best for the child, so why shouldn't they be able to home school? Every kid is different and maybe public or private school simply isn't the right fit. If home school was illegal, the child may start to get poor grades because they are not used to the new environment. Every kid is entitled to a good education. What happens if the child gets expelled, and can't afford private school, some public schools might not even except him/her because of their pore behavior. Banning home schooling is taking away the rights of about 1.5 million kids. Home schooling provides the parents and the child's freedom to express themselves and with home schooling the kids can be in the safest environment possible. There is no reason why home schooling should be made illegal.

Opposition Side
As some may know, home schooling is a form of education. Yet to home schooling there are many pros and some say, cons. some are pros; some believe that home schooling should remain legal in all of the 50 states. Cons, they may believe the exact opposite of what some do. This is where they are wrong. Home schooling keeps the child in a very safe environment… their own home. But at school, there may be bullies. That is not the only reason they are wrong, home schooled children tend to be smarter than class roomed children. Studies show that on average home schooled children score higher on standardized tests. Results for 16,000 home educated children, grades K-12, were analyzed in 1994 by researcher Dr. Brian Ray. He found the nationwide grand mean in reading for home schooled children was at the 79th percentile; for language and math, the 73rd percentile. These ranking means home-educated students performed better than approximately 77% of the sample population on whom the test was named. Nearly 80% of home schooled children achieved individual scores above the national average and 54.7% of the 16,000 home schooled children achieved individual scores in the top quarter of the population, more than double the number of conventional school students who score in the top quarter.
